I believe that St. Bartholomew's will be a beacon for mainline Christianity.
I believe we can have high quality worship that raises people's awareness of the transcendent through a wide variety of musical traditions, quality preaching, and excellent liturgies that appeal to individuals at various stages of their spiritual lives.
I believe that we can have rigorous and exciting formation opportunities that include reading, movies, and lectures for all ages.
I believe we can form people to become high quality servants for the community at large.
I believe we can have regular times for fellowship that welcome people into the community.
I believe we can be a place for families that know they can make new friends and have a solid religious education for their kids that is both Christian and pluralistic, attentive to the direction of the culture, while also being counter cultural.
I believe we can harness many of our interests for the sake of service and fellowship, whether it be running, cooking, art, or Texas Hold 'em.
I believe that at St. Barts we can reinvigorate the concept of "the commons" through changing our physical space, allowing for art installations, a labyrinth and family events to be held here.
I believe we can be a church that has a light ecological footprint on the earth.
I believe we can be a church where people love to dance and sing.
I believe that we can be a church where there is always someone new who wants to be a part of the community.
I believe that we can be a church where people want to participate in diocesan and national church, offering our skills to the wider Episcopal community.
I believe great things are on the horizon here. If we want it, we can bring it. Who wants to be a part of this vision?
